My Experience Purchasing a Consumer Reports Highest Rated Air Conditioner.

My first step was to go to the Consumer Reports Big (Summary Table) listings of air conditioners they tested and rated. The top rated was the Haier “Paragon Energy Star Window Air Conditioner”, 6,000 BTU, with Remote. The Haier Paragon also happened to have the Highest Energy Efficiency Rating of any A/C I saw listed!! However, Having Selected The Haier Air Conditioner That I Wanted To Purchase => It Was NOT Easy On The Internet To Find This Items I Wanted To Purchase. See Below For Some Of The Difficulties I Ran Into.

A) I Google searched for = Haier ESAD4066 (which is the company & model #). This lead to a long difficult search, which showed lots of unfamiliar and potentially untrustworthy Internet shopping websites!
…Finally, a Google "Product Search" Listing came up. It showed ~8 Internet Stores and their price. Among these, I selected WalMart.com since they offered free shipping to one of their stores near me. My Paragon arrived at the WalMart store I selected in 7 days. It’s home now and works great!

B) Some search results that caused me search time, but did not lead quickly to a website at which I wanted to purchase:
1) The Haier Company website (www.haieramerica.com/) showed a full line of their products, photos, specifications, etc. And once I selected one model, I could click a "Shop Now" tab at page top.
…But many of the shopping companies that came up were unfamiliar to me. Some of these Internet shopping web pages required me to start my search all over again, and with limited success. For example, the WalMart shopping site could not find "Haier ESAD4066". Only later, I discovered that they ONLY list this model # as "Paragon.” Only then does this search work on their site and give a successful "add to shopping cart".
2) The Google Product Search Listing that comes up doesn't always show Internet shopping websites that actually have the item you searched for. You may have to check several pages of the other Google listings, or change the search words used.
