This photo, and the next five photos, are "A Celebration Of Fall Color & Fall Leaves"!!
Excited by the red wild cherry leaves, I brought home a sampling for this photo, taken on our chestnut wooden dining table, in the sun of our solar home: Arrayed around a pine seed, with it's spinner wing, you can pick out a tapered brown oak leaf. The remainder are yellow or tan grape leaves.
How do you like my art??

This Sisal Plant is one tough survivor!! About 30 years ago I found this little guy, in a newly made roadway, that had been created to construct the neighbor’s house. The poor sole had been badly crushed down by car wheels, so I transplanted to the front of our house.
For ~ ten years, I thought it was a gonner, because the center new leaf area had all rotted. But, as you can see, it seems to have regrown the center new leaf area, and be making new leaves, off of which you see long curling fibers, for which this plant is most famous. However, despite the 30 years, the leaf circle is still about the same size, about 12” dia, as when I first found it. Growing in the wild, most Sisal Plants around here are up to 36” leaf circle.
The Sisal Plant is famous because, it’s leaves have long fibers: Local lore around here has it that the North American Natives used this for rope, twine, and garment cloth. Sisal is a member of the Agave Family, and similar to the Yucca Plant with high bulbous Flowers, on a stalk.

This composite photo of the front of our Solar Home, and the next two photos, are "A Celebration Of Fall Color & Fall Leaves"!! As you can see this picture showing max fall color, was taken September 9th of last year.
NOTE: The roof line has an un-natural bend at the "stitch line", b/c I did not know what focal length in mm to type into the PhotoStitch Software. Contrast this, with the next photo, where half the focal length was typed in.

This photo of the front of our Solar Home, and the next photo, are "A Celebration Of Fall Color & Fall Leaves"!!
This is a composite of the same two original photos, but with half the focal lenght typed in: Of course it still is showing the max fall color, of September 9th of last year.
NOTE: Contrasted to the prevous composite, the roof line is now more "natural", minus the "bend" at the "stitch line", but the house and window, seem to have a bulge, and the edges of the photo, are crazy curved!!
You might need to swap this with the previous photo to appreciate the differences. I believe these two composits were made with Canon Software that came with my old Canon Camera.

This photo of the front of our Solar Home, is the last of "A Celebration Of Fall Color & Fall Leaves"!!
Contrasted with the previous two composite photos, notice how clear the air is, and how bright is the 14 November sun, low in the near wimter sky!! Notice how deep the sun light is shining into our Solar Home!!
NOTE: Contrasted to the prevous two composites, the roof line has the "un-natural bend" at the "stitch line". Evidentlly 70 mm, typed in, still is not the correct focal length to be used for the Camera of my Palm Centro SmartPhone.
You might need to swap this with the previous photo to appreciate the differences. I believe these three composits were made with Canon Software that came with my old 2002 Canon Digital Camera.

After spending two days learning how to “run” the Greyhound Internet Page for “Sign-Up For A Schedule & Ticket”, I’m finally on my way to a great wonderful two days at “The Robert Pirsig ZMM Chautauqua Conference”, at Montana State University. While there I am to give a talk titled: " ‘Travel Descriptions as Fact and Metaphor’ in Robert Pirsig's books ‘Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance’ and ‘Lila’ “. ( More info by Goggling => Montana State University Chautauqua Conference.
)
This photo is placed here to “represent” my departure from Aiken SC, and “Big Trip” to Bozeman MT and return”. Although the entire trip lasted days, after I got on the Greyhound Bus in Aiken SC, I spent an aggregate of~ 8 days-worth of hours on big intercdity buses just like this!! In going and out of at least 50 bus stations (list upon request), I had plenty of time to look at lots of “SceniCrusers”, of all stripes, as well as ride on 4 different major bus lines.
My thanks to PhotoBucket.com for this shot, which fairly closely matches the bus scene at the grassy curb, I got on at Aiken ... even the sun angle, & the trees in the background!!

My Greyhound Crossed a Steel Truss over the Ohio River. into Ashland KY: In fore ground, the Sky Blue Thirteenth Street Bridge. Behind it (look closely), is the Mint Green Martin Luther King Jr Bridge ((NB: Don’t forget to review the How To for my Panoramas, in our Xmas12 Email.))
After I left Aiken SC, my bus route traveled to Columbia SC, then followed I-77 North thru the Appalachian Mountains to Charleston WV, the turned West on I-64 to cross the Ohio River at Hunting WV, then traveling along Rt 52, on the North side of the river, crossed back over the Ohio River on the Martin Luther King Green Steel Truss Bridge, into Ashland KY. The bus crossed back over the Ohio River on 13th Bridge, & traveled, furthur West along the river, untill it turned North to Columbus OH, by way of Chillicothe OH. Ever since Charleston, I traveled through an area of West Virginia, & my home state, I’ve never traveled.
JUST DISCOVERED!! DON’T MISS IT!! Ashland KY Amtrack Station is marked on Google Maps: If you do a Google search for Ashland KY, then click on it to get the full size Google Map version, then scroll in for a close up, you will see Amtrack Icon: Click on it, and you will get a mouse prompt = “Street View”: This leads to a GREAT WONDERFUL 360 degree panorama viewer to show of this shows, as in my photos, this same Neat Warehouse Building(next photo), and the BiColored Twin Bridges over the Ohio River.
With some mouse pushes on the pointers of the “View Controll Circle upper right of the viewer, you will be able to move along the street to new vantage points.
GREAT!! WONDERFUL!! DON’T MISS IT!!
