Deep Canyon Beside My Roadway Through California Mountains. Blue Color Is Because the Only Illumination In Certain Places Is From the Bright Blue Sky Above. Traffic had piled up behind me, so I pulled off at a wide palace, which happened to be beside this canyon. Marvelous experience and great photos!! As I Photographed Down Into This Canyon, I Discovered This Circular "Pot Hole" Bored In the Rock. Apparently, when the winter rains come, the surging high water can swirl rocks and sand around and around in this "Boiling Pot" with sufficient violence to carve this perfect cylinder. Several more of these same formations were visible higher up the canyon wall. My wife and I saw similar formations in South Africa. However in S. A. there were ten to twenty such formations all in one place, and all of them were much larger. It was a fantastic thing to see having a beauty all its own! A Path Invites the ZMM Traveler Into the Forest Primeval. Some early conservation pioneers recognized that all of the Giant Redwoods were destined to be sawed up into houses, unless action was taken. So they exerted themselves, Quality lead the way. And at least this wonderful stand was protected. Pull-off & parking area, Redwood Forest, Simpson Reed Grove, Jedediah Smith State Park, twelve mi East of Crescent City, CA. The ZMM Route Goes Straight Through This California Giant Redwoods Forest!!

…But Be Sure To Stop. A Walk Through The Dark Woods Of “The Giants”, Is Truly A Fantastic Experience! A DO NOT MISS!!

… This FANTASTIC Redwood Grove is UN-mentioned in ZMM, except for the ZMM Narrator mentioning =>
…" These pickup campers through the redwoods, full of lonely retired people looking at trees on their way to look at the ocean. You catch it in the first fraction of a glance from a new face—that searching look—then it’s gone. "

… ….But the ZMM Narrator gives no information about these California Giant Redwoods & Forest, or even its name! … Is this because of its tourist attraction nature? And similar to other tourist places, we see again the reason, we are not given the location or any other facts about what is here, simply because of its tourist attraction nature!

Simpson Reed Grove, Redwood Forest, Twelve mi East of Crescent City.

…NEXT Photo has Information about these Redwood Forests, and Internet Links to how to view their fantastic natural beauty!

…However, these can not be found (narry a clue) in Google Searches, or even on Archive.org. In fact, no good full sized 360 Degree Photo Panoramas of Redwod Forest could be found. If you know of any, please send an Email to HenryG__USCA.edu
…Also, in fact, I Henry Gurr, was totally stumped by this total lack of Panorama Photos, for several hours of total bad frustration, until suddenly jump track … **AHA** …. Pop To Mind => “Use Google Street View”, as you will see NTXT Photo.

A Nice Harbor Lighthouse On A Small Islsnd. My panorama of this park is now posted in ZMM Part III Panoramas, a companion album. Somehow we will work this nice harbor lighthouse, including it's small off shore island, into the panorama. A Coast Side Harbor Park, just West of downtown Crescent City, CA. Finally, the California Coast at Long Last! Harbor Park Scenery Plus Ocean and Beach Looking South Toward Mountains in Distance. Its sunset and time to start looking for a campground. Luckily, on the way South along the coast highway and the beach in the distance, I saw a small sign, only recently put up, saying "Camping, + Arrow This Way". Several miles off the main highway, Redwood Harbor Resort, Was just what I needed. . (Photo = 115-1569_IMG.JPG)

The Brilliant Red Of Sunset Shines Upon These Low Clouds Over My Campground. The Clouds Are Really the Cold Coastal Fog Starting to Come In. At the end of each day as the colors of sunset starts to color the landscape, I tried to take a good sunset photo that also shows the local area. Sometime the choices of scenery, are somewhat limited as is the case here. As soon as possible, I will make a special album of these "end of day" photos. Redwood Harbor Guest Ranch, Not far from the coast and several miles South of Crescent City. (Photo = 115-1576_IMG.JPG)
