11:18 am Saturday May 21, IOWA Herbert Hoover Historic Library & Museum, State Historical Marker, I-80 Rest Area, Mile Marker 147, Mitchellville, IA 50169.

….Walking along the sidewalk, a few feet West of the Giant "Ink Pen Nib" Sculpture, The Visitor finds the /\ Above /\ Pictured Hoover Historical Marker.

….Although the Marker Text is Self-Explanatory, the reader may Google …Iowa Hoover Historic Site, West Branch IA ….for more information, about The Presidential Library & Museum, constructed on The Site of his West Branch IA, “Two Room Cottage, where he was born, in 1874”.

The above 1874 we note, is about same time frame (1854), when Our Sarah Jennings Vinke’s Paternal Grandfather, Henry Jennings was purchasing 1200 acres of land in Iowa.

Saturday Travel Continues From Previous Photo:
~4:00 pm Saturday May 21, Belmont Travel Center Gas Station & Truck Stop, US 151 Highway At Co Rd G, Belmont, Wisconsin.

….Henry Gurr Well Remembers The Following Events, Of This Very Hot & Sunny Late Afternoon, As He Drove The Major Dual Lane US 151, From Dubuque IA, Over The Mississippi River, And Then Started The 92 Miles Towards Madison WI.
….After some 70 miles, Henry saw signs mentioning the “Belmont Prairie, State Natural Area” , and other campground sounding names (just what was needed for overnight), so seeing a turn onto County Road G, Shown In Google Street View /\ Above /\, dove to the Grain Storage Buildings shown /\ Above /\, and parked on gravel there for ~10 min studying maps & GPS for any hint of Camping. Henry even remembers the low Green Mound, to right of those Grain Buildings, wondering if that was any kind of a public park.

….Seeing nothing promising, Brain Finally Jumps Track To NEW IDEA =>
Perhaps the Gas Station, [Shown At Right /\ Above /\, As Dark Green Roof], has an “Open” WiFi, and I can use my Laptop + Google, to find a good campground, perhaps along => US 151 “ahead, AND near Madison WI?”

OH WOW !!…. VOLA !!!! … Google Finds =>

,,,,Despite this was 4.25 years ago => I well remember this Campground, especially scenery near his Camp Site, where Flowers were aplenty among the trees!!:…
… It was well before sunset, so needing exercise, I took a long walk along the lush green, tree lined, paved access road, passing by all thither ~100 other Camp Sites. I saw several small Cabins, available for overnight rent, and the Really Nice Bathrooms-Wash-Up-Facility, which was conveniently close. Besides some children at the “Play-Yard & Jungle-Gym”, I was surprised that less than 1/4 of the sites showed campers or tents, and there was hardly anyone else around!
….As is true for most of my travel evenings, after “Pitching-Tent”, and “Shower-Wash-Up”, I reviewed my existing Three-Ring-Binder, Paper Notes Re Next Day’s Sarah Vinke Biography Research Goals, (and maps in hand), wrote out the “Next Days Plan”.
.Next morning these Plans & Maps were placed on the seat beside me, for quick access, when I have stop to check, which road is next. OR quick look at what the GPS is trying to tell me.

,,,,Despite this was 4.25 years ago => I well remember that the road to Blue Mound State Park, required turn-off-of US 151, and transfer to a Parallel Highway for several miles. I can even visualize the turn-off into a very large paved area, at the Park Entrance. AND this Sunday Morning, when leaving the park, it was necessary to go NE on this same Parallel Highway, for several miles and before transfer back to US 151. ********************************************
