8:47 am Tues 13 Aug: Local History Sign, Ismay, MT.
…Interesting Local History, especially how says “The Tourist Association Automobile ‘Red Route’ “(Red Paint), once lead to the Yellowstone Trail (Yellow & Black Paint). This early history of respectively US 10, and US 12, nicely amplifies what Henry said on the first Photo of this Gallery Album => “The Larger Significance Of US 12.”.

…(ChangesSinceRobertPirsig1968Trip),
….Date-Line: May 4 2020, By Henry Gurr. A Realization Added During Editing: It has taken Henry Gurr during the last 2 weeks of working hard on This And Other Near-By Captions, to finally AHA, realize that this sign is/was not remembered (or photographed), from his 2002 ZMM Research on this portion of the ZMM Route; Nor does Henry remember the nice River Trees Nature Walk behind the sign. AND thinking further:=> Sudden Added Realization => This stretch of US 12, and it’s bridge, ALSO must have been created since 2002 !! …
….Then looking at a 2006 Road Atlas shows indeed, the slight road twists, sure enough, are those leading to the old “Truss Bridge” that is mentioned, in the sign shown /\ Above /\!! The Atlas indees shows the old US 12, lined up with the bridge. As are seen for the “new” & “old” roads in the Next Photo.!! :-))

This Local History Sign Parking Space => Is A Good Place To Stop & Rest: You Can Even Walk A Path Back Among Riverside Trees, In What Looks Like A Nature Walk & Roadside Park
..….This Google Street View, Could Be Used To Study the RoadSide Areas Around This Nature Walk & Roadside Park, OR “GSV Drive”, Several Miles East To Study the Areas Around the ZMM Narrator’s => A) “low-rimmed canyon” .(The Powder River Valley and Truss Bridge) OR B) “a roadside stop I’ve been waiting for” .
