View of the Diesel Engine Co-Generator As Seen From the Engine's Front Left Corner.
The medium sized vertical cylinder at center left probably holds filters for cleaning the engine oil. At upper right a whitish red cylinder curves up into a fiberglass insulating wrap. This is the Engine exhaust pipe which can be quite hot!! The fiberglass insulating wrap protects people and keeps the heat inside the pipe so the heat can be absorbed in a subsequent heat exchanger and thus also used in the Sorption Refrigerator. Note: Beneath the engine (and inside the support frame) you can see the black top-side of an ordinary Automotive Battery with small round white cap. This is probably used to supply the electrical energy needed to "crank" the Diesel Engine and star it, just as is done in an ordinary automobile!
