ZMM Narrator’s “High Point”, Point Cabrillo Dr, about 1.2 travel mile Southwest of Caspar, CA. In the /\ Above /\ Photo, in the far distance, you see that the road turns to the right. This must be the OLD Rt-1 California Coast Highway, which goes South to the town center of Mendocino, CA.
…Since it is an old “by-way” and probably the road Author Robert Pirsig and Chris took in 1968, the Pirsig Pilgrim should follow it!
