…”I have to make a correction here...as I clarified for Henry Gurr, although I don't think it got corrected yet on his web page....These are not the work of Peter Voulkos. Pete cast this larger [abstract0 sculpture of my mother’s because he was a friend who had a foundry at his studio in Oakland. He did do a lot of bronze sculpture, but these are not his work. … The larger abstract one (I call Demeter) is my mother, Gennie DeWeese's sculpture. The figurative one is George Conkey's fabricated /welded garden fountain, in the DeWeese household since the 50's. I call this one Persephone.”
Earlier in Tina’s news filled email, with her Persephone-Demeter Photo, Tina had stated =>
