Yup That's Me, Henry Gurr, At Crater Lake. The Plaque Text Describes Mount Mazama, the full sized volcanic cone mountain that exixted b=here before the giant explosion that blew the mountain away! This left this huge crater that eventually filled with water.
I was trying to take a photo of this sign, and was on my tiptoes in an attempt to “get a good angle” so the whole sign would be in focus. A very tall gentleman asked if he could take the shot for me. I naturally accepted his offer! Then I immediately realized this would be a good time and place to jump into the shot. As part of my ZMM Research, I always attempted to photograph the text of the more interesting tourist information signs. More information about Mt. Mazama is in my Gallery Photos for Part IV.
