This photograph faces directly North, and is a continued view through the middle of the Grinnell Campus, again you can see the railroad in the upper left of the photo. These tracks are about 200 feet away from Mears Cottage, and run directly through the otherwise tranquil campus. Sarah has been noted to complain about the trains keeping her awake at night in a 1912 Grinnell College yearbook.
