Originally I had planned to go as far as Swanee TN, and find a campground. But, soon after crossing into Tennessee, from Georgia trending West on I-74, it was well after dark, when I caught sight of "Camping" sign at an exit: This was for The Raccoon Mountain Campground, TN. Address and more information is on the next, travelstop waypoint, below.

Raccoon Mountain Campground, Raccoon Mountain, TN, was very nice place! Well rested, I was on my way early the next day.

About 10 miles after I crossed the border, from Missouri into Iowa, at a crossroad, I saw a small sign saying Campground down a gravel road East: I flagged down several cars traveling by, and they assured me that yes this was still there, about 8 miles East, and it would be worth going there, and asking if I could set up my tent for the night.

I was up early next morning, drove back to above mentioned crossroad intersection, turned North, and on my way to Grinnell College, passing through Bloomfield IA after about 20 min, on more dusty gravel roads.
