….After finish taking Panorama Photos at 234 Breeze Terrace, Henry Gurr wanted to Take Photos of Sarah’s Old Office. To get there, as Sarah would have done … Need to travel a about a mile East-Northeast, to Bascom Hall.
…Looking at both Paper Maps & GPS, this looks simple enough => Go North on Breese Terrace, & Turn Right onto Campus Dr, then find good streets North and East.. However, back at that time, Henry ((looking essentially at The GSV Photo View /\ Above /\, somehow concluded that Campus Drive was essentially a freeway, and would prevented his doing this.
Thus Henry Detoured A Series Of Streets, ((Which Were Shown In 2nd Previous Photo TripLine Map,))
….AND Which, Are ALSO In The Displayed /\ Above /\ GSV Strip Map, You Can Discern (Small & Faintly), Word Names of Each of the Street Names Driven.
..1) From (RED) “234 Breese Terrace”, Go right (West) for ~8 blocks,
..2) Where can right (North) onto UN-labeled Walnut St, (It’s seen at the 2nd ..a.. In Word … “Apartment”.)
..3) Go up on map (North) to Traffic Circle: See Words “Observatory Drive”, (East).
..4) Here turn right (East) toward campus, and follow Observatory Drive, (faintly) running betwixt words seen “University of Wisconsin”. .
..5) After a swing north and back Observatory Drive terminates on UN-labeled N Park St, which you can identify b/c it goes thru the …a.. In “Memorial Library.
..6) Now to help you pick out , the West End Of Which .
…...Directly below word “Memori”, you see 3 Square Shapes. This is Bascom MALL
…...Next left (West) is a Half Circle Shape: This is where Is Bascom HALL!
Both Bascom Mall AND Bascom Hall, are The “Focus” Of Many Forthcoming Photos.

…,It’s because Observatory Drive had (has) A Great Hilltop View, AND GREAT PANORAMA PHOTOGRAPHY POTENTIAL FOR =>
.. A) A Big Lake North of UW Campus & Downtown Madison WI. Indeed LUCKY because this “Detour”, was the ONLY way We-All, would have gotten this Great Photo Op!!
..B) In The Strip Map, you can also see 1) At top Lake Mendota, and 2) Going right (East) beyond words “Memorial Library”, continue to the very edge of the map, see a Google Pinpoint Marker, with (faintly) Building Dome. This locates in the Center of The 45 Degree Rotated Square, The Wisconsin State Capital Building.
