….Henry Gurr’s detour, mentioned Previous Photo was a lucky break, since Observatory Drive, has this /\ Above /\ => Great Panoramic Hilltop View, which includes Lake Mendola, bordering The UW Campus & Downtown Madison WI.

Lake Mendota Offers Great Boat Wind-Sailing, for UW & Madison Yacht Clubs, AND Brings Back Old Lake Mendota Memories For Henry Gurr.
….Henry Gurr well remembers, (many years ago ~1998?), Wisconsin Touring, with his son David: David had marked his map, and Henry drove to Frank Lloyd Wright Architecture in, Milwaukee Wi, Racine WI, Spring Green, and Mirror Lake Wi.
….This trip included a visit the UW Yacht Club, where-upon David was invited to go on a ~2 hour Sailboat Excursion. Henry even well remembers views from where Lake Street terminates at the lake, and close by a ~9:00 pm Restaurant Dinner.
…. Both Observatory Hilll and Lake Mendota, are likely “left overs” from North America Ice Ages, Glacial Processes. Discussing “Bascom Hill, Wikipedia says => “The hill itself is a drumlin, formed by glacial deposits about 18,000 years ago.”
