….Upon my arrival in Mitchell, OR, I looked around for places that might fit the Narrator & Chris’s “a long chocolate malted” , and found that the “Sidewalk Café” was the only food service place I saw, that most reasonably had the Narrator’s “can see out the plate-glass window.” Unfortunately, the “Sidewalk Café had long been closed.
….To learn more, I Googled for Sidewalk Café in Mitchell, OR, found many useful results, most of which were Restaurant Review Sites, with GREAT Accolades for the good food at the “Sidewalk Café” !!
….What I found about this “Sidewalk Café” building (shown in my /\ Above/\ 2002 Photo at 204 W Main Street, Mitchell, Oregon 97750), is shown below.

….Sometime after 2002, The Sidewalk Café restaurant likely came under new management, and was open up through 2018, as is indicated in this Google series of photos of the Sidewalk Café => Inside & Outside as well as their food (2017-18) Click Here For ~20 Photos Of The Same Building Doing Very Active Restaurant Business 2017-18. … AFTER This Photo Comes Up, You Can Click The Arrows On The Photo Bottom, To Go Forward or Back.

Back in July 8, 2021, with internet search, I found that this building had been converted to the “Painted Hills Pastry Takeout”, who’s pastry was getting rave restaurant reviews, but as of this writing has moved to 37020 Bear Creek Rd, Mitchell, OR.
