Big Cottonwood Trees at North Town Entrance.

Rt1 North Side of Oakes, ND. Are these the Big Cottonwood Trees mentioned in above passage? Although unsafe from lightning, this is the (likely) waiting place for John and Sylvia to be sheltered from rain. A restaurant and large parking lot is beside the trees. Although rainfall, on average, is rare in this area, Oakes did receive a very nice drenching the night I stayed there, 16 June 2002.
