((For Explanation Re /\ Above /\ Photo, See Next Photo.)) Back Country Roads VS Interstate Freeways: As The ZMM Book Narrator Says => “Paved county roads are the best, state highways are next. Freeways are the worst. We want to make good time, but for us now this is measured with emphasis on "good" rather than "time" and when you make that shift in emphasis the whole approach changes. Twisting hilly roads are long in terms of seconds but are much more enjoyable …. ..….As Henry Gurr was leaving Dallas Center IA ~8:00 am July 30, he needed a Good Travel Route, so as to reach the Public Library in Miles City MT, by 11:00 am next day. Henry studies maps to find efficient routes towards Miles City MT, and also wondering how to find a convenient campground. ….Henry’s map study agreed with GPS route, which returned to Perry IA. Then Back Country Rt 144 to I-29 North thru Sioux City IA to Sioux Falls SD: Turn West, and followed I-90, crossing Missouri River, continued through Rapid City SD, then angled, to US 212, This two lane Back Country Road (in dark, much of it dirt & gravel) after covering a corner of Wyoming, entered the extreme SE corner of Montana. ….Henry was really tired, when he ~ 11 pm by accident found a convenient campground at Broadus MT: This was close enough to Miles City MT so next morning, Henry could drive the 80 miles, get to the Library by 9:00 am. ….AND of course it was Back Country Road All the Way, as you see in View /\ Above /\ !! And where Narrator’s Quality is “..measured with emphasis on "good" rather than "time" …. SIDE NOTE: Broadus MT Is On Montana’s Powder River, Which Is Mentioned By The ZMM Narrator => “We enter a low-rimmed canyon, ..”.He was traveling on US 12, some 75 miles by River Flow, NNE of Broadus. In fact this whole Dry Lands Countryside, , could be called “Powder River Country”! This includes from here, to where the Power River goes by the Narrator’s “Canyon”, and then empties into the Yellowstone River, NE of Miles City DATE-LINE, PART I, SEPT 22, 2020: ….As Henry Gurr is writing this caption Re the /\ Above /\ Panorama Photos, He Has NO Memory Of Where He Took The 17 Panorama Photos! ….Henry’s only memory was that it had to be on Rt 59, somewhere from Broadus MT to Miles City MT.
