….TO HELP YOU STAY DIRECTION-ORIENTED FOR THE NEXT 4 PHOTOS : PLEASE TAKE TIME TO STUDY THIS MAP, : You can see that Hyalite Creek Canyon, is parallel to, and next Canyon NE of Cottonwood Creek Canyon: To stay oriented, keep in mind that both “Creeks” flow to the NORTHWEST. ((NOTE: It’s very confusing on this /\ Above /\ Map, because North is to the LEFTt & A Bit UP.)) …..Next, please study the paved road in Hyalite Canyon, that goes well beyond the Bozeman City Water Reservoir, and ont more Camp Grounds. …..But Henry’s goal can only be reached .by rough rocky twisty national forest mountain roads, shown just to right of Map Center. Look for the brown twisty dirt road, trending to right (Southeast), and see wher it reaches a dotted line (hiking trail), that goes down (Southwest) to “Fox Creek”.IF EVER Henry had enough physical strength, to follow that trail to Fox Creek, would be his goal!
Fox Creek, A Major Goal For Henry’s ZMM Trail Research, Is A Major Tributary To Upper Cottonwood Creek, Some 8 Miles Upstream From The Deweese Home. You can see these two “Creeks”, labeled on /\ Above /\ Map. ….This morning Henry Gurr decided to try his own ZMM Trail Research: And after discussing with Tina DeWeese, how bad from rain, the “Back-Country National Forest Roads”, might be, has just arrived at Hyalite Canyon Entrance Gate. Henry closely studied this /\ Above /\ Map, to help reinforce his 2006 memory of having driven up the abovementioned “brown twisty dirt road”, to the saddle-back ridge, that has foot trails that access Fox Creek Meadow, and lead to Fox Creek, a major goal.
