….The Historical Importance Of Just Where Is Pirsig’s Old Office, Is Clearly Stated By Robert Pirsig In The ZMM Book Itself !! (Bold & underline by Henry, in Following ZMM Passage =>.)
….”All this comes back now. This was his office. A find. This is the room I am looking for!
….I step inside and an avalanche of memory, loosened by the jolt of the print of the print , begins to come down. The light on the print comes from a miserable cramped window in the adjacent wall through which he looked out onto and across the valley onto the Madison Range and watched the storms come in and while watching this valley before me now through this window here, now . . . started the whole thing, the whole madness, right here! This is the exact spot!
…And that door leads to Sarah’s office. Sarah! Now it comes down! She came trotting by with her watering pot between those two doors, going from the corridor to her office, and she said, ‘I hope you are teaching Quality to your students.’ This in a la-de-da, singsong voice of a lady in her final year before retirement about to water her plants. …A) One Attachment Photo indicates Pirsig’s OLD CLASSROOM as north side 2nd floor, behind the two windows (which are seen above), to LEFT of the ”Peak” above the Front Door Brick Arch => You can see a SECOND, three rows of fluorescent lights to right of ”Peak”…Henry believes this a second similar classroom..
…B) The Other Attachment Photo indicates Pirsig OLD OFFICE as behind the two narrow windows immediately to LEFT of the Curved Brick Arch, above the Front Door (These are the windows partly obscured by ivy vines). If you look close, you can see that his office is between floors, [and thus is, from first floor, to An Intermediate Floor] up some old stairs.
