The ZMM Narrator's "Duck Pond. The Ducks Are In the Cool Shade At the Left Side of the Pond.
In my first readings of ZMM, I had always visualized the "Narrator's Duck Pond" to be in a Public City Park in the center of a rather large city which was close to the ocean. So when I got to Leggett, CA I was surprised to see that the pond was part of a "tourist attraction", not in a city (or even a town in a very rural mountainous area. Also it is surprising to see a pond in such a dry area.
