Mountain Stream “White Water Rafting”, Lochsa River Gorge, some 15 Mi East of Lowell OR. The ZMM Route follows this rapid flowing Mountain Stream (really a river), for easily 40 miles. As you drive the highway, the excited shouts, shrieks, (and groans) of the raft crews can easily be heard. To get this shot, I drove on ahead of this happy crowd, to a clearing near the road. I position myself, camera in hand, and mentally ran through good pix check list. For these “once ever” shots have newly recharged batteries, plenty of spare digital memory capacity (or plenty of remaining pictures on film roll.)
