North Along Colfax Avenue as We Arrive at the Former Home of John and Sylvia Sutherland.
"Now we can go back for another eight years .... "
2649 South Colfax Ave, Minneapolis, MN. This quiet, tree-lined avenue certainly looks like, and is, very nice place to live! This great feeling is boosted by our great experience of a blue sky, fresh air, and a bright sunlit morning. We are set in a mood of joy to be here! However in ZMM, John and Sylvia Sutherland, even while on vacation at the DeWeese home in Cottonwood Canyon South of Bozeman Montana, they cannot forget the ugliness and congestion of the big, industrial city that surrounded their home here in Minneapolis! Despite the surrounding natural un-spoilt beauty of the pastures, mountains, and forests in Montana, they remain very much aware of their pained existence back home: The narrator reports John saying despairingly "Now we can go back for another eight years on Twenty-six-forty-nine Colfax Avenue.". In fact, they long for the time when they can move from their city home to the openness of the country. Eventually, while their three children are still living with them, this became possible. In my "John Sutherland Interview DVD", John discusses their experienced in the open country living not too far from Minneapolis. Notice: If you are the person now living in this home please contact me. Anyone having (or needing) more information, please contact me. I want to hear from you.
