A) Thoroughly Modern Lisl: A New Book Tells The Story Of The Woman Who Was Minnesota's First Modern Architect. MPR News Article by Alex V. Cipolle. April 28, 2026
…This News Article, concerning these two houses on Bedford Street in Southeast Minneapolis says => “Each is a Minnesota architectural landmark. The brick Malcolm Willey House was designed in the 1930s by a giant of 20th century architecture, Frank Lloyd Wright, and was a link between his early Prairie School-style of architecture and his later Usonian style.”
…”Across the street is a white minimalist two-story house with a periwinkle blue driveway. The Faulkner House was built in 1938 and was the first home in Minneapolis designed in the International Style. “

B) Home Designed by Renowned Architects Hits Market. …. Across the street from Frank Lloyd Wright’s Willey House in Minneapolis is the first combined work of Win and Elizabeth Close, which was listed in early June for $699,900.
…First 2 paragraphs say => “The home at 252 Bedford Street Southeast, which was listed last week, represents one groundbreaking architect’s journey bringing modernist-style homes to the Twin Cities.
…When Elizabeth “Lisl” Close first studied architecture at the Technische Hochschule in Vienna, her professors were allegedly “sexist” and “unpleasant,” according to Dwell. She was the sole woman in her graduate program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Many architectural firms refused to hire women: Swiss American architect William Lescaze reportedly felt she would be too distracting in the drafting room, Austrian American architect Richard Neutra would hire her if Lisl paid him $20 a month for the opportunity (you read that right), and—finally—Lisl was hired by German American architect Oskar Stonorov.”

After Leaving Minneapolis, And Traveling ~100 Miles Toward Des Moines, IA, Most Likely Along I-35, The Above Curious Display Was Found. 9:12 PM
…Remembering the very useful service called => “Google Find Image”. Henry, Drag and drop the /\above/\ image file.jpg, directly from his computer’s file system, into a Google Search Box, which then said =>
…This Varying Art Styles: Display consisted of => Taped-up postcards, postcards from travel locations, a photo of a motorcycle, and personal memorial papers.
…But, was not able to say where this display was.
DISCUSSION:
…Today is Sept 8, 2026, and Henry Gur thinking back to when this photo, and the next were taken, has no memory.
…The /]above/\ Photo (and the next), must be as I traveled South, toward my friend Professor David Strom, in Des Moines IA, who’s photos are shown later in series of photo, Thus, the /\above/\, has to be after I left John Sutherland in Minneapolis,,and most likely. Along I-35, and being at 9:12 PM, these were taken, about 100 miles South of Minneapolis.
…In Summary => These photos were taken, at a public place, open at night, and along I-35,
Consequently, These Could Have Been At =>
…A) Somerset Rest Area
…B) Hayward Rest Area
…C) Rest Area I-35 NB/SB Hartland & Iowa Welcome Center.
…D) The Rest Stop I-35 Lamoni Iowa Welcome Center

A Second Photo Of => After Leaving Minneapolis, And Traveling Toward Des Moines, IA, Along I-35, The Above Second Curious Display Was Found. 9:12 PM
…AGAIN, Remembering the very useful service called => “Google Find Image”.” Henry, Drag and drop the /\above/\ image file.jpg, directly from his computer’s file system, into a Google Search Box, which then said =>
…”This Varying Art Styles: Display consisted of => Framed artwork, taped postcards, postcards from travel locations, a religious cross, and personal memorial papers. And a framed classic watercolor painting of a teacup sits next to casually taped postcards depicting snowy forests, scenic landscapes, historical religious paintings, and classical figures. Also, a small, plain Handmade Wooden Cross.”
CONCUSION:
…Considering the wide variety of materials, many of which are personal. And considering the informal taped-up method of attachment,
…Henry concludes this must have been a place where visitor could post their own materials. Whatever they liked!!
…This reminds Henry of a small Rural Forested Park in Indiana, where on a small pine tree, visitors could add Christmas Tree Ornaments. Whatever they liked!! Wonderful!!!
