…From here, in increasing darkness, we drove 81 miles (~1 hr 26 min) via US-101, To a side road called, Avenue Of The Giants, which we followed to Redcrest. CA. Here Henry Gurr recognized the Redcrest Resort Cabins, where most likely in 1968, Author Robert Pirsig & Chris stayed overnight.

And despite the near dark, Henry suddenly recognized the Redcrest Resort. So we stopped to see if we could stay the night here. However, this resort was VERY pricey, and besides, had no vacancy. ….
