……This Is Oregon’s Powder River, And In This Part Of Oregon, Is-One-Of-The-Few-Places-With-Summertime Water.
…We Also See The Backed-Up Water, Caused By A Rock-Side, That Has Partly Blocked The Stream.

Oregon’s Powder River, Landslide Area, Rt-86, ~12 Miles WestNorthWest of => Richland, Oregon.

NOTE: In the first part of the above view, you can see the stream, and on the far side of the water (look closely), you can just perceive a stretch of the old Rt-86, which is gravel. This part of the old Rt-86, is where Author Robert Pirsig, with Chris, very likely traveled in 1968.
…This is because the rockslide happened in 1984, after which the newer section of Rt-86, was constructed much higher up, as you can see from the high vantage poing /\Above/\, and in the previous photo.
