Henry Gurr’s 2002 ZMM Route Research Photo, Which Practically Exactly Fits The Background Scenery Of Tom Zito’s 1974 Photo Of Robert Pirsig.
… You Can See The Road By The Edge Of The Water Of Hyalite Reservoir, And The Mountains Beyond
… And For The Perceptive Viewer, It Is Seen That, The 2 Mountain Edges Left Of Mr. Pirsig, In Tom Zito’s 1974 Photo, When Compared To The /\ Above /\ Photo =>
… Are Shifted Relative To Each Other, In Indicating That The Tom Zito 1974 Camera Location, Was Significantly To The Right Of Where The /\ Above /\ Photo Was Talen, At The Center Of Hyalite Reservoir Dam.
Gallatin National Forest, Ten Miles South Of Bozeman, MT. ….
…This Above /\ Photo, shows a large body of water with mountains in the background. And in this photo, the top edge of the mountains, practically exactly fit the background scenery of Tom Zito’s 1974 Photo Of Robert Pirsig. What is most wonderful, is the excellent fit of mountains, in Tom Zito’s 1974 shown on BOTH sides of Robert Pirsig. However in the right foreground is there is not any land with plants and low bushes, as is shown in Tom Zito’s 1974 Photo.
My Problem Solving Story One: “How I Nearly Missed The Near Perfect Fit Photo.” By Henry Gurr ….
…Practically two days after the previous two Google Earth Views were created and uploaded in ZMMQ Gallery, I was relaxing outdoors, without much thinking of anything. Suddenly a memory automatically spontaneously mentally arrived => “Back in 2002, while standing on the center of the Hyalite Reservoir Dam, I took an 8 Photo Panorama Sequence!” … Knowing that the camera was at ground level, meant these photos would likely be better fit to the Zito photo, than Google Earth which has a high elevation Point Of View.
…As I started viewing in sequence these 8 photos, at first I passed right over #0903, because it did not seem to fit the mountains in the Zito Photo, and then I took a longer look at #0904. Ever so slowly, I gradually realized this photo showed nearly the same view of the mountains as did the previous 2 Google Earth Views, and thus, don’t fit well enough those mountains shown in Tom Zito’s 1974 Photo Of Robert Pirsig.
… I went on to look at the last of the 8 photos. And then In desperation went back to #0903. And then taking the time to look more choosily at the mountains, suddenly realized “Near Perfect Fit”!!
Important ZMM Book Gumptionology Lessons =>
->A) My memory of the existence of this 8 Photo Panorama Sequence, might NEVER have come back. It was pure luck that it did. And
->B) I looked straight at photo #0903, but passed right over it because it did not look good enough at the first seeing. A clear case of failure of human perception.
