The Hotel Guest, With Steady Hand, Uses His "Old Timey" Skeleton Key To Open the Old Fashioned Wood Door, Antique Room, Olive Hotel, Miles City MT

This "Antique Room" was created especially for and because of the Miles City enthusiasm over the TV Mini-Series "The Return to Lonesome Dove" or better known as just "Lonesome Dove" . This "western" to beat all western movies, created a nationwide wide wave of "old west" enthusiasm. But for Miles City, this was more like "went wild with excitement". The "Return to Lonesome Dove" movie WAS Miles City history in action! They instantly loved it!! Miles City in the movie is the goal and the final leg of the 2000 mile cattle drive from Texas-Mexico-Rio Grand border. This made the movie all the more real. (Caption continued next photo.)
