….As shown in the Laurel MT, photos, they were willing to stay at hotels that were "out of date", and even had shared bath and toilet facilities "down the hall". Toilet facilities "down the hall" also may have been true for a non-modernized, non-private bathroom, older portion of the Olive Hotel in l968.
….New information from Bill Bergerson of "ZMM Bill's Cycle Shop of Miles City", confirms that Pirsig and the Sutherlands hotel choice in Miles City was similarly modest. Bill says the Narrator, Chris & The Sutherlands stayed at The Miles City Parkview Hotel, as shown here.
