At the Lochsa Lodge, which includes cabins and a restaurant and which must have been the places where Chris began to write his letter home, I met Carl and his 16-year-old son Ken, from Oakville, Ontario, about 15 miles from where I live. They'd trailered their bikes to Montana and were just riding around for a few weeks. Very zen.
