The Belt of Venus.
Well after sunset, and looking East opposite the last glow of the sun, we see the pink-orange of the so called "The Belt of Venus". The belt is the orange-red light from the Western sunset, cast against the Eastern haze. And below the pink is a dark blue-grey band that is actually the shadow of the earth. As the minutes pass, this shadow part, will grow wider (higher) as the sun sets even farther below the western horizon. Click Here for more Wikipedia photos and info.
