….Pictured here is a close-up view of the same Grain elevator seen in previous photograph. These elevators were used to store grain, much like a silo, but with a bucket elevator or conveyor that takes grain up from a lower level and deposits the grain in another storage area.

….The closer building is a former Railroad Station, now occupied by a lawyer who understands its historic significance, takes good care of it, and avoids any building alteration from original.

.. This is the building where Sarah Vinke would have come to get Train Tickets to go ~40 miles to Des Moines, then transfer to a different train to go some 60 miles to Grinnell IA, for College.

….Sarah’s home in Dallas Center would have been within walking distance, perhaps 10 blocks away.
