For /\ Above /\ Photo, Henry continues walking cautiously forward, , to get REAL CLOSE
…But NOT TOUCH, despite thinking about “Reaching Down, & Giving Fawn a Pat! And feeling his fur!!” ….
…… Idea instantly squelched, b/c not want Human Smell, repulse Mommy away.
…. With the camera set for “Flash” … Henry’s Mind NOW Automatic Thinking =>
“Better quit, and get out of here, so Mommy can return to New Born.”
….Henry starts walking back along the Nature Path, towards Prius In Parking Lot, and
.. Automatically looks back for a Last Look.
… THE CRITTER’S FOLLOWING!! 10 FEET BEHIND!! Henry runs as fast as he can till out of breath!! Glancing back … STILL 10 FEET RIGHT BEHIND
….Run FASTER & HARDER, till AGAIN really out of breath … Glancing back again
. Henry thinks to self => … Critter out or sight, beyond curve in Nature Path. WHEW,!! I said I needed the Exercise!! OK .. Getting late. Time to find Prius, and drive back to my Camp Site, for the night.
As Henry is driving the curvy road up, and out of The Park, he thinks to self => … I should drive back, and check to see if Fawn found Mommy? BUT … No Way … Being anywhere along the Path, would just make it worse. .
AND Over The Last 4 Years, Every Time Henry Thinks Again, About Fawn & Mommy, He All Over Again Is Thinking =>
…. I should have driven back, and checked to see if Fawn & Mommy were OK!
… BUT AGAIN, ALWAYS THE SAME CONCLUSION => … NO WAY … Being anywhere along the Path, would have just make it worse. .
A Reassuring & Hopeful Final Thought =>
….The Nature Path, is in a Public Park, and steady flow of Human presence, so the added effect of Henry, even Fawn following for several hundred feet, should not have had a serious impact on the Doe & her progress to find her New Borne. At least we can hope so. .
